Rebate Information
REBATES
The Cooperative has rebates available to members who purchase certain energy efficient appliances and heat pumps. Please see the rebate applications for other important terms and conditions. Applications can be found at any Cooperative office or online at www.ozarkborder.org.
Eligibility:
· Must be a member in good standing of the Cooperative.
· Rebates are limited to Cooperative services that purchase 6,000 or more kilowatt-hours on an annual basis.
· The structure in which the member resides must be a permanent structure on a permanent foundation on the land owned by the member.
· Member must fill in all information requested on the application form including the installation address, mailing address and cooperative account number.
· Rebate applications must be signed and submitted to the cooperative with an original dated sales receipt within 90 days of purchase. Used equipment does not qualify.
· The Cooperative reserves the right to conduct random inspections of installations.
· Dealers or distributors are not eligible for rebates.
Room Air Conditioner - $50
Available for a new installation or replacement of an existing unit.
Must be an ENERGY STAR rated unit.
Limit one rebate per metered account.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.
Window Air Conditioner Rebate Application
Energy Efficient Electric Water Heaters - $50
Available for new installation or replacement of an existing unit that is less than 0.90 efficiency.
Must be 40 gallon or larger electric water heater.
The energy efficiency rating of the new unit must meet Department of Energy (DOE) standards at the time of manufacture.
Tankless water heaters are not eligible for this program.
Limit two rebates per metered account.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.
Water Heater Rebate Application
Heat Pump Water Heaters - $500
Available for new installation or replacement of an existing unit that is less than 0.90 efficiency.
Must be 40 gallon or larger heat pump electric water heater.
The energy efficiency rating of the new unit must meet Department of Energy (DOE) standards at the time of manufacture.
Tankless water heaters are not eligible for this program.
Must provide the brand name and model number.
Limit two rebates per metered account.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.
Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Application
Energy Star Certified Smart Thermostat - $50
Available for new installation or replacement of an existing manual or programmable thermostat.
Must be an Energy Star rated smart thermostat.
Limit two rebates per metered account.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.
Energy Star Advanced Programmable Thermostat Rebate Application
Air Source Heat Pumps & Mini Split Heat Pump - $150 per ton
Limited to 10 tons residential and 50 tons commercial.
Available for new construction or replacement of an existing unit.
Must be controlled by an automatic thermostat.
Equipment must be installed by a certified dealer and meet Energy Star +2 SEER rating.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.
Limit one per metered account.
Air Source Heat Pump and Mini-Split Rebate Application
Ground Source Heat Pump - $750 per ton for a new installation (including loop) / $300 per ton for replacements of heat pump only
Limited to 10 tons residential and 50 tons commercial
Available for new construction or replacement of an existing unit
Equipment must be installed by a certified dealer and meet Energy Star +2 SEER rating
DX (direct expansion) ground source heat pump installations are not eligible for rebates.
The rebate amount is limited to 50% of the total cost of the unit.

Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate Application
The Cooperative is not responsible if your contractor, retailer, builder or other party provides you with inaccurate information about the amount or conditions of the actual rebate. Rebate qualifications are subject to change at the cooperative’s discretion and the program may end at any time without notice.
