Greg Darnell - A Legacy of Service

After an illustrious career spanning over four decades, Greg Darnell bids farewell to his role as a lineman for Ozark Border Electric Cooperative.  Since 1979, Greg has been a pillar of dedication and expertise, contributing significantly to the reliability of the electric grid for our members.  His knowledge and experience have been a valuable resource to the Cooperative.  Not only did Greg work tirelessly to restore power during storms and other adverse conditions, but he also played a crucial role in mentoring a new generation of linemen.  Like most linemen, Greg says he won’t miss the phone calls in the middle of the night to work outages in horrible weather but will miss his colleagues and the satisfaction of restoring power for the members.  He plans to enjoy retirement working around his farm and making memories with his family.  Greg Darnell’s retirement marks the end of an era, but his legacy will undoubtedly endure.  Please join us in congratulating Greg on an amazing career and wishing him a retirement filled with good health, happiness, and well-deserved relaxation.
