Steve Hager - The Next Chapter

With mixed emotions Ozark Border Electric Cooperative announces the retirement of Steve Hager effective, September 13, 2022. Steve joined the OBEC family in 1988 as a journeyman lineman. He was promoted to crew foreman in 2004 and served as service foreman since 2015. Steve always showed up with a smile ready to go the extra mile for the members he served. After spending a lifetime on-call, ready to go out to make repairs and restore service all hours of the day and night, Steve will turn the page to a new chapter with a more leisurely pace. Steve plans to enjoy his retirement days watching his grandchildren play ball and run cross country. When he is not working his land, you might also see him doing a little bit of team rodeo. We will sorely miss Steve’s dedication, leadership, and positive attitude. Join us in thanking him for 34 fantastic years of service and wishing him a long and joyful retirement.
